ALTERITY

ALTERITY is a dance film developed out of the documentation of its original iteration as a live
performance. The live performance directed by composer Gemma Notara working in tight collaboration with dancer Chelsea Byrne, the documentation footage was then given to myself to transform and evolve into an abstract dance film. This film is a collaboration from beginning to end, transgressing the boundaries of traditional film making to create something new, the editing developing on the original material, evolving and elevating it. By nature of its creation the film is itself alterity; the state of being other.
